Ozubulu massacre: Poor attendance as Church commences service
Churches in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo local government of Anambra State Sunday registered poor attendance during worship, apparently for fear arising from the attack on St Philip’s Catholic Church last Sunday.
Worship commenced at the church, with the parish priest, Rev Fr. Jude Onwuasor presiding over a mass in the church after Bishop of Nnewi Catholic Diocese, Most Rev Hilary Okeke had Saturday evening conducted a holy cleansing the church.
Though the church was filled up in today’s service, only few of those in attendance were locals.
DAILYPOST observed that more than half of those who attended church service at the parish were journalists, government functionaries and sundry visitors who came from far and near to see the scene of last Sunday’s attack which left 13 people dead and over 20 with varying degrees of injuries.
